The dragonknight is a warrior who wreaks havoc with fiery magic. The dragonknight feels right at home at the front lines of battle. Dragonknights are famed for their use of two-handed weaponry, although not everyone will choose to go down that route. Equipped with great utility, support and defensive abilities, the dragonknights make natural tanks and defensive powerhouses in ESO.
Dragonknight Skill Lines
The dragonknight’s skill lines are Ardent Flame, Draconic Power and Earthen Heart.
Each skill line includes one ultimate skill, five active skills and four passive skills. The ultimate skills and active skills can be morphed. Morphs enhance the original skill, giving you more room to customize your character and play it just the way you want. Each ultimate skill and active skill comes with two morph options. Once you have morphed an ability, it will replace the original ability.

Ardent Flame
Ardent Flame is the pure damage dealer skill line. It focuses heavily on fire based attacks and burning effects.
The ultimate skill, Dragonknight Standard, is very powerful in its current state and should not be overlooked by any Dragonknight. It may not have the flashy effect Dragon Leap has, but no one can argue against its usefulness.
Fiery Grip, the trade mark Dragonknight skill is one of the skills in Ardent Flame skill line. It allows you to pull an enemy towards you.
Inferno is a powerful, toggleable fire aura around the Dragonknight. It costs a lot of Magicka to keep up, but morphing the ability to Sea of Flames will return Magicka from every enemy who dies within its effects. The true power of this skill is not necessary the pure damage, but the Magicka gain potential it possesses. You can toggle it on every time an enemy is about to die and gain Magicka rather than lose it.
Draconic Power
Draconic Power skill line has a couple of very potent tanking abilities.
Spiked Armor gives you a very powerful Armor buff. Inhale is an AOE Health absorb and Reflective Scale essentially gives you an immunity against spell projectiles – it reflects all spell projectiles for a short period of time.
Dark Talons is a nice way to control a group of enemies since it roots everything around the Dragonknight for a short period of time.
Earthen Heart
Earthen Heart is the utility or support skill line the Dragonknight gets access to.
Molten Weapons is a powerful tool in a Dragonknight’s arsenal, providing a weapon damage buff to nearby allies.
Obsidian Shield is among the most useful support abilities in game. It creates a damage shield which lasts for 20 seconds on ALL allies near you.
Stonefist is a must have for any Dragonknight. It is a powerful single target knock down, useful.
Petrify is a great way to control a single enemy. It stuns an enemy for 10.5 seconds, but the stun breaks on damage.
Ash Cloud provides the Dragonknight with a powerful kiting tool, snaring all enemies by 70% and also increasing their miss chance by 30%.
