The Aldmeri Dominion was formed to answer to the threat of the younger races of Tamriel. Human supporters of Molag Bal had taken control of the Imperial City and the High Elves of Summerset reached out to their neighbours: Wood Elves and Khajiit. Together as one mighty force they seek to repel the disaster that inevitably awaits Tamriel if the younger races gain too much power. Led by Queen Ayrenn, a young High Elf who inherited the throne of Altmer after her father passed away, the Aldmeri Dominion aims to claim the Ruby Throne of Cyrodiil and crush the forces of Molag Bal.
I have no hatred for the races of Man, but they are young. Like all children, they are driven by emotion. They lack the wisdom that comes with age. I would sooner place an Altmer infant on the Ruby Throne than surrender Tamriel to their capricious whims.
The Altmer, the Bosmer and the Khajiit share the common traits of intelligence, patience and reason. We do not seek riches or plunder. Domination is not our goal, nor is the acclamation of power for its own sake.
Today we make our stand. Today we take back the Ruby Throne, which is ours by ancient right and the blessings of the Divines.

Ayrenn Arana Aldmeri
The High Elves or the Altmer are known for their abilities in magic. The residents of the Summerset Isle were the first settlers of Tamriel. They are proud but intelligent.
The Wood Elves or the Bosmer are the best archers of all Tamriel. Living in the thick, mirk forests of Valenwood, the Bosmer have developed into masters of stealth, knowing the woods inside out and hunting for prey from the shadows.
Khajiit are feline, furious frontline warriors known for their skills in blade. The Khajiit were once helped by Queen Ayrenn of the Altmer and are now close allies of the High Elves of Summerset.
