We have added some new features to our ESO developer tracker. There’s now an option to select only threads started by ZOS staff, and it’s possible to see all of the developer responses in a specific thread.
You may have also noticed that our main page now shows five of the latest ZOS staff threads (10 if you hover your mouse over it), which typically include the most important announcements & game changes and news.
Vaults of Madness is the final normal mode group dungeon in ESO. It’s located in central Coldharbour, just east of the Orchard. The dungeon is tuned to level 47-50 players, whilst the bosses are level 50.
This guide explains the boss fights of normal mode Vaults of Madness in detail, and provides strategies for defeating each boss.
ZOS will be releasing new patch on Monday that is mostly meant to fix some technical issues. Nightblade and Templar will also receive some tweaks.
ESO’s Community Manager Jessica Folsom has confirmed that the PTS will be open for everyone in the coming updates. You should be able to download the PTS via the launcher even as we speak. Prior to this, only a select group of testers were able to get on the PTS.
Another interesting bit of news is that Zenimax is planning on changing the way veteran content & late character progression plays out. This is a very polarizing subject, and I’m sure many of you have your own opinion about the veteran content & veteran levelling. In general many people feel that the veteran content & getting to the level cap takes too long. The difficulty of VR content has also been a hot topic.
Personally I don’t see these as issues, but there are a couple of things about VR content that I’m going to address.
Every large public dungeon in ESO includes a group challenge, which yields a skill point for completion. Achievement hunters will no doubt want to kill all of the public dungeon bosses / champions for extra achievement points before leaving the dungeon as well. Large public dungeons of course also have a skyshard in them, which at times can be difficult to find or get to.
This guide provides a map of all large public dungeons in ESO, marked with group challenge, champion and skyshard locations.
The Elder Scrolls Online v1.1.2 patch notes. Craglorn & Trials take the spotlight, but there’s also a number of interesting changes worth mentioning.
According to an IGN article & interview with Paul Sage, the targeted release date of ESO’s first major content is this week’s Thursday or Friday. That’d be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
EDIT: Zenimax have now confirmed Craglorn will be going live starting tomorrow.
Zenimax is planning on releasing regular content updates every 4-6 weeks. Releasing Craglorn this week would roughly match those plans.
The IGN article also revealed that the second content update will be the Veteran Dungeon Crypt of Hearts.
We are pleased to introduce a new site feature: an advanced ESO developer tracker (http://tracker.tamrieljournal.com/).
The official Elder Scrolls Online forums have a developer tracker. It’s useful, but we thought we could add some features to it and make it more user-friendly.
Our dev tracker allows you to filter Zenimax Online Studios staff posts by language, forum category and developer. You can use it to browse older dev responses as well.
In the Round-up: • VR Armor Aesthetics Fix • Regular EU Maintenance Times Changed • Missing Achievements to be Fixed Retroactively • Nightblade Responsiveness & Ability Tweaks • Weapon Swap Fix •
