ESO AOE Target Cap Clarification

Zenimax have clarified their intentions with maximum AOE target caps. The too long; did not read version is that all AOE abilities in Elder Scrolls Online have a max target limit of six, and always have had. If an AOE ability’s tooltip does not say how many targets it affects, the answer is 6.

Alliance War abilities have a larger target cap, if any, and siege weapons have no target cap at all.

Direfrost Keep Dungeon Guide

Direfrost Keep is the fourth 4-man group dungeon for the Ebonheart Pact in Elder Scrolls Online, and is located in southeastern Eastmarch. The bosses in the dungeon are level 37, and the normal mode of the dungeon is tuned to players between level 35 and 36.

ESO Provisioning Ingredients – Which Ones to Keep

eso provisioning ingredientsThere’s a total of 50 different provisioning ingredients in ESO, and every provisioning recipe uses between one and four ingredients. Ever since the revamp to provisioning in patch 1.6, the number of ingredients is a lot smaller, and provisioning is much more understandable and simpler as a profession. That’s still quite a lot of ingredients, especially if you’re planning on keeping all of them.

Keeping all of your ingredients in the bank or inventory takes a ton of inventory space. What makes provisioning complicated as a profession, is knowing which ingredients are worth holding onto.

Creating ESO: Trials


Zenimax released another preview of Trials, the first 12-man group PvE content or raid equivalent in ESO.

The first Trials take place in Hel Ra Citadel, and they can be accessed through Craglorn, which will be the first Adventure Zone in Elder Scrolls Online. Players will face Ancient Yokudan warriors, air atronachs and other deadly foes, whilst trying to overcome the obstacles as a group of 12, and set a record time for the leaderboards in order to receive unique loot and rewards.

Matt Firor’s State of the Game Address

Matt Firor, the Game Director of Elder Scrolls Online, has put up a post on the official forums which addresses the current state of the game.

He specifically talks about gold spammers and bots, dungeon boss camping, fighting the black market, quest-blocking bugs and the near future of the game in general. It’s a good read.
